76ers keep on losing... | Back home tonight vs the Hornets

The season of misery continued Friday against the Lakers. It was a ten point loss but the game was not even as close as that ten point margin suggests. The Sixers last win came well before Halloween. Pretty crazy. I feel as though the team is in near panic mode. Paul George is pretty good, but he's not going to be able to carry a team at this point in his career, he never really has at a super high level to begin with, let alone in his first year with the team. But something has got to give The Sixers are going to be drowning in losses with out two of their three best players on the court. If the Sixers are out of the playoff race soon, why would Embiid play at all with the logic they're using.

The Hornets visit Philly and it's pretty clear the Sixers are going to be outmatched in this one, but the Hornets are somewhat unproven compared to the pedigree of some of the Sixers vets, so maybe the Sixers can match up well enough and sneakily snag a win tonight. They've got to stop the bleeding just a little. The losses stack and eventually the math won't math. Nick Nurse has to start being an elite coach and sort of be the player of the game for a night from the sidelines.

Paul George has to take charge a bit and get over the fact that he's not in the role he expected to be in in November of 2024 after being in the league nearly a decade and a half. George has to be the guy for now and he has to embrace it, that's probably how they get out of this funk. Turn back the clock for a few weeks and be the main scorer and playmaker until Maxey and/or Embiid return. Once those boys are back, George can be the number three option. Nobody else on the Sixers roster is remotely capable of doing this. If George could carry the team/ hold down the fort while the other two heal up, and the Sixers were to win a Championship, this early part of the season would do WONDERS for George's legacy.

Will be interesting to see LaMelo Ball play for the Hornets. I'm intrigued about his ceiling as a player. But yeah. This is a big game for the 1-7 Sixers....

As always
