This Sixers season is turning a bit nightmarish consistently. My Titans stink, Sixers stink, Phillies were great but ultimately broke my heart... YIKES. This is the life of a sports fan at times.
The Sixers lost to the Clippers Wednesday in what was a very lackluster performance by everyone involved. Paul George has yet to crack twenty points although his minutes have been slightly restricted as the team slowly works him back after his injury. To make matters worse, Maxey left the game with a hamstring injury that is bad enough to have him be out for WEEKS. Man I am a huge fan of Maxey just stinks to see!
All three main Sixers players are struggling to stay on the court now. Just horrible luck. I'm not sure if the Sixers want to extend George's minutes due to Maxey being out, but it is only George's third game back and man, if he gets injured again this season is possibly cooked. The Sixers roster in general are all playing more minutes and bigger roles due to these guys being out. Lowry, and Gordon are older players. With the Sixers luck THEY'LL get injured too at this pace.
We can't keep saying that it's still early either. I mean, it is, but the Sixers are just not winning. This season is slowly approaching ten percent through and the Sixers have a whopping one win. Ideally if all three players get back, the team will be playing winning basketball, but they will have to reach .500 and then get to work from there! They'll have to play excellent basketball.
Maybe George will help things, but I mean tonight the Sixers face the dang LAKERS, who are definitely the better team at this point in the season. Like, clearly.
This will be an interesting game tonight... If they win somehow that will be HUGE. It's going to be reallllly tough though.
