It's been a long wait

It's been a long wait, but it is almost finally upon us, the much anticipated rematch between the two best heavyweight boxers in the world today, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. The first fight lived up to the hype surrounding it, and was only let down due to the incompetence of the judges at ringside, but that very incompetence has led to a huge build up and hype train that is making this rematch the biggest and most hyped heavyweight clash in almost 20+ years. We have not seen this level of anticipation since the bygone era of Iron mike Tyson and Evander the real deal Holyfield.

The Matador Vs. The Bull

The bout is a classic Matador(Fury) vs the bull (Wilder). Fury with his slick boxing and smooth footwork, (extremely impressive for a man who stands at 6"9") likes to slide in and out of range landing quick combinations while avoiding most of what comes back his way with matrix like reflexes(joking) but for a man his size he does possess great head movement and excellent reflexes.

Wilder, could arguably be one of, if not thee hardest hitting heavyweight ever to enter the squared ring, with 41 knockouts from 43 fights its not hard to make a case for that. Only two fighters that have faced him have managed to make it to the final bell, Fury is one of them. One moment, one hit is all it takes for Wilder to turn the tide of what seems like a losing battle, he possesses the great equaliser.

This is a very tough fight to call, both fighters will be vastly improved this time around, which may result in more strategically fought chess like battle. Fury will be fitter than he was in their first meeting considering he was just a couple of fights into a comeback after a two year lay off, which included overcoming drug addiction, overcoming depression and a huge amount of weight gain, that he has now completely replaced with muscle.

Wilder seemed to go into the first meeting with just one game plan and not even an inkling of a backup plan. His plan was simple, and the whole world including Fury worked it out within the first round, land a haymaker and try for the knockout. It became clear early on that this would not work, although he did land a huge world rocking haymaker in the twelfth that sent Fury crashing to the canvas, unbelievably he was able to recover before the count of ten.

The referee is ready, the judges are ready, and the fighters are in the ring... and now fight fans....
