Maybe little overkill. These guys were pretty cool. Basically he wants the ok from his "superiors" so he can't get into shit for letting the guy go, even though, to the letter of the law, he is perfectly allowed to leave without identifying.
I actually find it interesting that, "public servants" find it offensive to be called "public servants". It is their legal title perhaps, yet they recent it. Just that little piece of humanity inside them saying, " just because I work for the government doesn't mean I'm anyone's property." They insist on their human dignity, even though they tend to deny it to others. Maybe not always, but too often. Just maybe, that is the whole point. At the same time, them being offended about being addressed as "public Servants"
is a good sign. It's like, " oh, you do actually believe in freedom after all." Like some kind of naturally occurring idea everyone shares on some level.
Conversely, maybe someone that isn't a "public servant" is probably thinking something like, " just because I don't work for the government doesn't mean I'm anyone's property."
Maybe also, it's bit like when they say, " You don't have permission to record me!" Kind of a different way of saying, " I don't belong to you, you don't film me without my permission." Even though all government buildings not to mention ever street corner has a camera going 24/7.
Almost strange, a stranger does it to them it's outrageous, government does it to them, "who gives a shit, it's for safety. Maybe, this is keeping us all safer." Do they go up to the desk at every place they go and tell the people their that they don't have permission to film them? Maybe, not ever. No, you're lucky if they even notice they are being recorded.

privacy is so much more important than people understand. get a privacy coin, they are all under valued and cryptographically superior to bitcoin or hive.
Privacy is nice. A person could say, the 4th and 5th Amendment, are all about privacy. Nice, yes. The new Zec coin is looking really interesting. Peoples right to trade with one another, without any 3rd party having to know about it. On the most basic level, it's only natural. I gave a guy my case of beer because I wanted their hat, they agreed, transaction went though, nobody consulted with any centralized power for this to take place.
