What is your dream Job?
As a young lad years ago, I'd always dreamed of being a doctor, saving lives, and contributing to society, then, of course, in the typical Nigerian home, my father wanted me to be a lawyer (trust me, you don't wanna know why, lol). But I graduated from school with a degree in Library and information science., and a photographer, learning data analysis; Crazy isn't it? all I am saying is, dreams change, and times change but doing what we love prevails. Doesn't matter if I earn from it or not, I'd always take pictures I derive a lot of joy from telling stories. Like Now I don write full page for one small question, loool

Actually it's complicated cos the dream changes with time. First I wanted to be some scientist mixing and inventing stuff as a child, I wanted to create robots, later to be a pilot, later computer engineer...... At the end of secondary school I just wanted to work in oil company and become rich enough to actually study History and do whatever else I would like to do.
Wether I'm doing it now 🤔. Well, I did complete my studies in Petroleum Engineering but I seriously hated it. I still really like history but Wikipedia is the only place I study it, I read alot about medieval Europe when I have the chance to....... In all this sha, I just want to be a Star, be known all over the world while doing God's work.
My dream is very achievable o, if people with zero talent are online on tiktok and going to bbnaija to show nakedness and enter relationship and coming out as celebrities why me wey be new creature with the mind of Christ wey sabi sing, rap, act, present, write songs come still fine small no go blow?....... Greater is he that is in me o, Believe!!!

Growing up, I have always wanted to be a lawyer, cause I do see movies of judges in their robe and hat, I have always been fascinated by it, before I finished secondary school, I once told my mum I wanted to be a lawyer the way she reacted to the news was like 🙄she was like hen lawyer ke, so that you will be lying, and when old age comes and they want to but you, they will have to face the body upside down🥴, I was like, at least you let me start before you crucify me already.
But too bad I was not able to attend university after school
AND NO, I am presently a baker, a different job from my dream, it dos even tally with law at all.
I recently got admission for a marketing course, and so I still am not at my dream job, cause life shifted focus from it

I even had hope of going to a football academy. My mom was in support of it but she was scared because of injury and all.
My my dream got crushed when I had an injury and landed in the hospital. My mom frowned against my dream.

Everyone has one thing they would have love to be when they are old enough and for me I had so many dream jobs because I feel like I need to be everything if possible, lolz.
Well my dream job at a very young age was to be a lawyer but then I realized the only reason that made me want to be a lawyer was so I could defend the weak and oppressed but I was not ready to study 😏, so I thought of something else and that was cleaning. Yes, cleaning was something I fell in love with because I just enjoy doing it. I've seen really good professional cleaners and I just love the job they do and I have always looked forward to working for people, keeping their houses and offices clean and sparking.
Now I'm not currently doing my dream job, I'm now a full time blogger and I'm enjoying what I'm doing, a lot as well.
Yes I've worked my dream job before and it was so much fun, I had a lot of compliments from my employer and that alone was just okay for me.

My Dream Job
Growing up and schooling was fun for me. My desired job was to become an accountant cum banker. I loved it so passionately.
When it was time to choose this career, I had to be in commercial class with keen attention on Economics, Commerce and Account but something happened abruptly.
My Financial Accounting teacher was a disaster. There was no one account question we were able to balance. Something was always missing. Sometimes, we end up not posting additional information to the accounts and you know, the account ended up not balancing up.
I was enduring this until I got to SS2 and registered for GCE exams. Before the exams, I used to feel I am among the best in the class and the had always given me some level of comfort. But when I concluded the exams and results released. It was a complete disaster as I made no commercial subject.
An Escape Plan
Quickly, without a second thought, I skipped to art class and read Literature texts, Government and CRS in one term. It was like I had been set free from a snare. That year, I sat for WAEC and it was beautiful.
Thought it sounded like I shifted from my initial dream, I have this consolation that I took the right step.
Today, I am proud Historian. I ended up studying History nd Diplomatic studies at the university.
Even though I am not a banker, it has been a jolly fine ride in the field I found myself today.
Crazy how bad teacher can affect your dream and change your path, oh well, everything works together for your good.

What is my dream job?
When we are small i always want to be a lawyer 😂 after which i did my first jamb and i met myself in a college studying economics hmmm I'm not even going in the lines at all well i will just say Nigeria has kill alot of talents i must say because when you don't have what it's takes you are not going anywhere well my story continues after which i graduated in 2016 and needed to further i try my best for gaining admission but then they keep delaying it until 2019 after so many frustration well i changed my course to human-kinetics that where my sportman begins . To cut the long story shot I'm not doing my dream job in fact we are still looking for job lols 😂 I'm presently working with my vocational certificate which is engineer.. life is hard generally here in 9ja our dreams have been scattered.

It's been long since I participated in this hangout,and then you present a very interesting topic just when I resumed hive! 😜😜
First, when I was in primary school, I always dreams of being a petrochemical engineer. Most kids my age at that time just chose professions randomly without knowing much about them but I was actually serious about being a petrochemical engineer. I knew what they do and what it took. That was how passionate I was about it.
When I started my junior secondary school, something happened in JSS2 that changed the path I intended to choose.
We were involved in an accident when traveling to the village. Although it was serious, me and my mom fortunately managed to escape wish just a couple of bruises. I had a deep cut on my arm though, but it wasn't at all serious compared to the situation of a woman who fainted, her head also appeared swollen and she wasn't breathing. She was lying face down and her sister was crying profusely, shaking her vigorously to wake up. A doctor who happened to be a passenger too went to the woman, felt her pulse and saw that she wasn't breathing. He then turned her so that her back was now on the ground. After some minutes, the woman drew a sharp breath and opened her eyes. I was astonished. Is he a magician, my small mind by all means wanted to learn that "power". That made me want to become a doctor. That simple act awoke my love for medicine.
In later years, I came to learn that if the doctor hadn't come at that exact time, the woman would have been dead. I mean here was a woman who was crying. She obviously loved her sister but yet couldn't help her. If she had known that all she had to do was make her lie on her back, she wouldn't have hesitated a bit. Then came the doctor who didn't even know them but was still able to save them. Something that didn't mean anything to him meant the world to someone else. That was what I wanted to become, a hope for the hopeless.
What's my dream job: Due to all that occurence, my dream job was and will always be to become a medical doctor.
Is it achievable or not? : It is. I take a step everyday towards becoming a doctor. I am a level 200 medical student already and by God's grace, I shall achieve this dream.

Without being told i would have truly excelled in this field, i was young, agile, fast in learning and ambitious. My back then crush asked me Stanley what do you want to become i said a Pilot, she gave a beautiful smile and said your wife is going to be really patient as you may not always be around her

This was young me who dreaded seeing the world from the most extraordinary view (The sky).... I have always dreamt of being a pilot everything about me was ready except for finances, and this is going to relate to several Nigerians who weren't born with a silver spoon
If wishes were truly horse's, I'll be riding in one of the Emirates airlines at this moment. I took my geography classes so serious, I learnt to read the maps, i tried to study several languages and i was learning personal relationship courses before i felt the loads of responsibility starting to fall on me
I tried to journey a little out of the plan and route, in order to save up and get back on my dream track, but i never found my way back. Reality is bigger than our fantasy thoughts, dreams are easily ACHIEVABLE but the means (money) is the hindrance... This was how i forgone my biggest dream of being a pilot but i am still a grateful being because I'll navigate round the world by the profession I've chosen (THE MARITIME 🚢⛵)
A shout out to all those who lost track of the Big dreams because of finance, we will get it all back, let's have a positive outlook to every opportunity around us. We may not become what we intended but if you have the opportunity look for those who have similar dreams and sponsor them

Growing up I have always wanted to be a nurse and a midwife. Luckily for me I got an admission to study nursing science in the university, I believed I'm moving closer to my dream job though I don't know what the future holds for me.
My intention is to save life, to be a hope to families who are hopeless, to my patients who want to give up in life due to the fear of death.
And for the midwife stuff, my passion for this job is nothing to compare, my dream is to own my personal maternity home with good facilities and quality doctors and nurses working there. My dream is to build a place where women can deliver safely without complications, I believe having good health facilities and quality doctors and nurses can make this possible with the grace of God.
This is my dream job and I'm working had to get there thank you 🥰

Right from childhood, I have always wanted to be an accountant which I happened to be the best in my class back then but my parent insisted I switched to science class because they wanted me to study medical related course.
I had to switch departments every terms that my friends tagged me Ajala-Changing all over the world 😂 😂
It was a serious issue then that my dad had to tell me he will stop paying my school fees if I do not yield his biddings and later he came to report me in school that they should allow me into the school premises anymore.
We had to do a school-family meeting 😂 and last last I was mandated to switch permanently to science department which I did but I was determined not to read that perhaps if I don't come out with good grades he will reason with me and allow me do my wish.
Alas the result came out and both physics, chemistry and biology were F9, I was already happy thinking things will turn out my way but then the old man said if you keep having F9's till thy kingdom comes, you will still remain in that science class 😲 then it was dawn on me that girl! You ain't going nowhere so my seriousness began.
I graduated with a B.tech in pure and applied chemistry but life happens and I become an entrepreneur. Handwork is what is putting food on the table now o not even the certificate.
At times when I remember I laughed over it, even with my families but in all, am glad I did his wish.

To be frank, I used to have a dream job as a child which was to be a neurosurgeon,
but right now as an adult, I realised that I didn't really have a dream job, I just wanted a way to earn societal prestige and make lots of money, and to me as the child I was, becoming a neurosurgeon was the only clear and visible way. Don't get me wrong I do have hobbies and interests but really to be honest money was the driving force. As one of my friends would say "I have passion for the money"
As to whether I am now a neurosurgeon, well close but still far as I am now a physiotherapist, I love my profession as I'm able to help people achieve independence in various areas of their life.

Well, physiotherapist is a great call too and I'm sure you are having a great time working as that. Most dream jobs change because the mind changes and the only thing that is constant too is change so that balances most things, hehe.

My dream job -
One thing I know naija so well is that JAMB is all out to change your career and destiny. However, they didn't succeed in my life, lol.
Before now, I didn't know what to be in future; I knew that no matter what I cannot be a doctor or anything related to the hospital. Why? It is because I won't be able to stand some disgusting stuff. So, since I was a lover of mathematics, my dad saw it as an opportunity for me to study mathematics related course that's of value in our society. This course was GEOINFORMATICS AND SURVEYING. Every student of my department if they apply for professional exam, they end up becoming professional surveyors.
Going further, I got admission to surveying. As God has His way I want to say I have no regret taking that as a course because I flow in the courses. It aligns to what I love so much and that is mathematics. Since surveying has to do things about mathematics, I found it amazing that I've been led to what will give me happiness aside from the money.
In conclusion, I want to say that my passion and love for mathematics led me to my dream job, surveying. My profession deals with determination of position of points and represent those positions in form of maps and graphs.

Back to business. Well, I think I have shared this before, while I was a child my dream job was the army, I really wanted to save lives and properties and to defend my country against Intruders. I love guns and fighting hehe, no mind me but I just too like violence. I got to love that field due to the kind of movies I was introduced to at my tender age by my father.

I am not currently at it, my parents kicked against the job seeing the danger attached to it. I am now a teacher, after all my childish fantasies, I went to college and studies biology/Geography. All the training I have been doing during my childhood has been converted into teaching skills hehe, imagine spending all my childhood learning combat only to grow up and become a teacher 😟😟. Guess life changes, we make our plans but God has the final say. The way I dey now self if you carry the army come , I go think twice first hehe. I want to enjoy my life oh.

My dream job is achievable o, if I want to go for it I can still do so but I don't think I want it anymore. I am satisfied with my teaching job for now. Let others go for the army on my behalf, why should I even block space for people hehe😁. The way Nigeria is now, I won't even advise anyone to go near that field.

WHAT IS MY DREAM JOB : Well as we all know while we were kids we wanted too become almost everything our teacher and parents tell us and i later realized all this was scam when i was growing up lolz, back then the thing on my mind was serving my country not knowing anything lolz...
I wanted to become a medical doctor for many reasons, becoming a medical doctor is my dream job and i am currently working towards it now but it got to a point where i realized medical doctor is not for one upon a time reader and i derailed lolz and decided to end up anywhere in the medical field and now i am getting there after applying for the **medicine and surgery course at ife with the aim of becoming a medical doctor but i am on hang oh, the school i chose hasn't released putme form and i passed cut off mark with 21 additional mark..
Well i am currently in that same line and i hope the school releases it soon and i can conclude everything, my dream job is achievable because either way, i am going to end up in that field weather as a doctor or other thing like lab scientist or physiotherapist ...
it is by force oh aswear, i will keep on trying until God open my way, i just want to end up in medical field because its what i want..
