We press on towards a new phase inside a room. This time Lute and Briar are discussing about Transcendence. This is a state in which a Chimera losses control over their powers and transforms into a monster. We have seen hints of this in the purple glow we get from time to time coming from Briar's chest. We also saw Donovan has the same problem.
However, we have no time to waste as we face a powerful possessed in what looks like a ring. This enemy has a bow and can move really fast to position itself in advantage. We'll need to close distance and avoid its attacks to damage it while using our red field until we can finally put it to rest.
But, it won't go away so easily. It will try to take us with it. Using more power Briar will get out of its hold and avoid an early demise. Nevertheless, she will be overtaken by a surge of power.

What comes next is we play as Lute inside Briar's mind. We need to go through her memories until we find some portion of her mind in shackles. It is interesting as we learn some bits about the past of both girls and how they became a Chimera.
After going through this, we wake up having a newfound power, Rapture. In this state, both characters access some sort of limit break. Our attacks are uncounterable and we can damage enemies without using fields. I guess that's the reason why we have some purple light in our frames. That's the combination of both fields. Also, we gain a kind of finisher that we can use to finish our rapture state. The coolest part of it is that we can modify the attributes of this state by taking certain paths is Lute's skill tree.

What comes after gaining this power up is more investigation about the origins of the Tear. We'll find some new types of enemies around the way and also get some interesting introduction of some villains in the horizon.
