Visiting the tomb of my grandfather

It was the birthday of my grandfather who passed away last year. We visited him to celebrate his birthday.

It was in the afternoon, we decided to go and we ordered Jollibee in the drive thru, we waited there for a lil bit because our orders had to cook for about 30 minutes.

So my nephews took a picture with Jollibee, one by one.

And their group picture with the three of them.

After that, when we received our order, we went to buy a flower, but then there was a problem because we crossed into the drive thru lane, and they said it wasn't allowed anymore.

There was also a sign placed there, so we got caught, and my uncle who was driving, had to pay a fine of 300 because it was his first offense.

My grandmother was so angry because my uncle had to pay a fine, and she was complaining to the person who caught my uncle, saying we might get to cementry late because we still had a long way to go. But the person who issued the fine didn’t seem bothered.

We just continued buying the flower for my grandfather, and we feel so relieved that the flower shop had a restroom because we really need to pee, and thankfully the owner allowed us to use their restroom.

Afterwards, we went straight to the cemetery. We bought some candles on the street and when I closed the door the hands of my nephew got trapped so he cried.

As we got to the cemetery, we put the Jollibee that we bought and the candles.

We then shared it with my grandfather about what happened to us earlier. We just both laugh and talk about things.

And we took a group photo to remember this day. There were only a few of us who came because some of my uncles were still busy.

And before we go home, we do this thing where we make smoke using leaves, like you burn them and then walk around. It's one of those superstitious beliefs from the elders, and we still do it even now.
