Truly this man was the son of God (Mark 15:39)
This confession was made by a centurion who was in Caesar's service. This centurion had witnessed the death of many men on crosses, but there was one in particular that caught his attention, one of the victims was totally different from the others, this man did not defend himself as the others did, he did not pray or curse, no I condemn or beg for mercy, on the contrary I beg the Father to forgive him and he added, they don't know what they're doing.
The centurion represented everything that had put Christ on that cross, but Jesus forgave him at that moment by confessing that Jesus was the Son of God.
Today Jesus, the resurrected son of God, is still waiting for his confession to forgive him as that centurion did.
