If you regularly read the recipes I share, you must have noticed that @genesisledger and I are big fans of soy sauce. We love incorporating it into so many dishes. đ
And today, I'm going to share with you our latest invention: spaghetti with mushrooms, sweet soy sauce and honey.
It's a pretty quick and simple recipe to make: about 30 mins. And not very expensive. đ°
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients for two people

- 5 beautiful button mushrooms,
- 200 grams of spaghetti,
- 40 ml sweet soy sauce (even if it's the salty one in the photo),
- 60 ml water,
- 1 teaspoon honey,
- sesame seeds.
Preparation steps
The spaghetti
To begin the recipe, I heated a little water in a saucepan.

As soon as it started to boil, I added the spaghetti and left it to cook for 11 minutes until al dente. The cooking time depends on the spaghetti you use.

Once cooked, I drained them. Then I set them aside for the rest of the recipe.
Mushrooms
While the pasta water was heating up, I first washed the mushrooms thoroughly to remove any residual soil or other residue.

Then I cut them into pieces.

Then I heated a little olive oil in a frying pan.

When the pan had heated up, I added the mushrooms and sautéed them for a few minutes (about 10).

The sauce
To make the sauce, mix 40 ml of sweet soy sauce with 60 ml of water and 1 teaspoon of honey.

Then I mixed and added this mixture to the mushrooms.

I also added sesame seeds.

I then let the mushrooms continue cooking in the sauce for a further 10 minutes.

To make the sauce even better, I should have added 1 teaspoon of cornflour. I'll try to think of that next time.
In fact, the cornstarch allows the sauce to thicken, so it would have helped to coat the mushrooms.
Add the spaghetti
Once the pasta had finished cooking, I added it to the mushrooms and sauce.

I stirred and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, the dish was ready to eat!

Next time, I'll try this recipe with Chinese noodles. And I'll try adding cornflour to the sauce to make it thicker.

Câest une recette assez rapide et simple Ă rĂ©aliser : environ 30 mins. Et qui ne revient pas trĂšs cher. đ°
Voici la recette :
Les ingrédients pour deux personnes

- 5 beaux champignons de Paris,
- 200 grammes de spaghettis,
- 40 ml de sauce soja sucrĂ©e (mĂȘme si câest la salĂ©e qui apparaĂźt sur la photo),
- 60 ml dâeau,
- 1 cuillÚre à café de miel,
- des graines de sésames.
Les étapes de préparation

Pour commencer la recette, jâai fait chauffer un peu dâeau dans une casserole.

Et dĂšs quâelle sâest mise Ă bouillir, jâai ajoutĂ© les spaghettis et jâai laissĂ© cuire pendant 11 minutes pour quâelles soient al dente. Le temps de cuisson dĂ©pend des spaghettis que vous utilisez.

Une fois cuite, je les ai égouttées. Et je les ai mises de cÎté pour la suite de la recette.
Les champignons
Pendant que lâeau des pĂątes Ă©tait en train de chauffer, jâai dâabord lavĂ© correctement les champignons pour enlever tous les rĂ©sidus de terre ou autre.

Puis, je les ai découpés en morceaux.

Et jâai fait chauffer un peu dâhuile dâolive dans une poĂȘle.

Lorsque la poĂȘle a bien chauffĂ©, jâai ajoutĂ© les champignons et je les ai fait revenir quelques minutes (environ 10 minutes).

La sauce
Pour faire la sauce, il faut mĂ©langer 40 ml de sauce soja sucrĂ©e, avec 60 ml dâeau et 1 cuillĂšre Ă cafĂ© de miel.

Jâai Ă©galement ajoutĂ© des graines de sĂ©sames.

Puis, jâai laissĂ© les champignons continuer leur cuisson dans la sauce encore pendant 10 minutes.

Pour que la sauce soit encore meilleure, jâaurai dĂ» ajouter 1 cuillĂšre Ă cafĂ© de maĂŻzena. Jâessaierai dây penser la prochaine fois.
En fait, la maĂŻzena permet Ă la sauce dâĂ©paissir et donc cela aurait permis dâenrober les champignons.
Ajouter les spaghettis
Une fois que les pĂątes ont terminĂ© leur cuisson, jâai pu les ajouter aux champignons et Ă la sauce.

Interesting, I haven't tried a spaghetti paste with soy sauce and even honey, so I'm really curious how would it taste. It looks good, and I thought it would look like Jajangmyeon but upon checking the ingredients, jajang used black bean paste and not soy sauce I thought they used soy sauce coz its really dark. Hehe
