Today I want to show you a recipe that can be found not only in every home in Venezuela but I have noticed that it is also found in every home in Brazil. It is a recipe that is very common, but I have noticed that not everyone knows how to prepare it. Also, here I found a new ingredient that is added to this recipe and that makes it spectacular. The Calabresa is a smoked pork based sausage that honestly gives a taste of another level to these beans, that's why today I decided to show them to you.

- Frijoles rojos
- Cebolla (1/2)
- Dientes de ajo (3)
- Cebollin
- Calabresa (1/2)
- Especias
- Sal

Comencé escogiendo los granos ya que como podrán ver en la foto es muy común que con estos se cuelen piedras y otras cosas que pudieran dañar nuestra dentadura si no le prestamos atención y no la sacamos de entre los grados.

I started by choosing the grains because as you can see in the picture it is very common for stones and other things to get into the grains and damage our teeth if we don't pay attention and don't remove them from between the grades.

Introduje los granos en un bol con agua y los dejé reposando por una hora.

I put the grains in a bowl with water and let them rest for an hour.

Una vez pasada la hora los introduce en una olla a presión y los dejé ahí por aproximadamente 35 minutos hasta que el grano ya estuviera blando.

Once the hour has passed, put them in a pressure cooker and leave them there for approximately 35 minutes until the beans are soft.

para preparar el aliño coloque un sartén en la estufa con aceite vegetal, una vez este tuviese caliente introduje los ingredientes en el siguiente orden: primero la calabresa seguido de la cebolla y el ajo, las especias y la sal al gusto y terminé introduciendo el cebollín. Una vez estuviese listo lo introduje con los granos en la olla a presión y dejé que hirviera por unos minutos para que se integraran bien los sabores.

To prepare the dressing I placed a pan on the stove with vegetable oil, once it was hot I introduced the ingredients in the following order: first the calabrese followed by the onion and garlic, the spices and salt to taste and I finished by introducing the chives. Once it was ready I introduced it with the beans in the pressure cooker and let it boil for a few minutes so that the flavors were well integrated.

¡Y listo! Estaba preparada para degustar este rico mis frijoles rojos con calabresa. Esto es una receta súper práctica y que aquí en Latinoamérica tendemos a preparar mucho debido a que lo podemos combinar con todo. Además lo podemos guardar de tal manera que cuando necesitemos hacer una comida súper rápida simplemente la sacamos de la nevera, calentamos y listo.
