I'm so happy to be here again and I'm saying a beautiful day to you all out there, I hope you are all doing great just as I am doing here, it's my pleasure to bring to you one of my recent creativity of a gathered gown outfit with half cut and ruffle across the center front for my little niece for Easter celebration.

As we all know that Easter is fast approaching and this time, must people make new outfit to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, most especially our little ones, once there is something to celebrate, children will always be looking forward to wearing a new outfit, regardless of the financial situation of the family, they always want to put on new outfit no matter how small, the fact that it's something they've not worn before, they will be happy and ok with it.

I traveled home few months ago and when I got home, my mom was, my mom was looking for a particular lace outfit in her bag and as she was bringing out those clothes, I saw this two piece Aso oke that's a traditional gele and ipale as we call it here, that has been abandoned for years, I picked it out and asked if she still needs it but she laughed and said I can have it if a want to, I took it without having anything in mind to do with it but I know I will definitely make ues of it some day, when I was coming back to my place, I brought it with me an kept it in my sewing room.

Two weeks ago, I made outfit for my sister's daughters then I remembered I have the ofi I brought home form my mom and decided to make them Easter outfit from it.

From the first ofi, I cut out the measurement from the waist to full length to make a gathered pleat for the younger daughter.

From the remaining piece, I cut out the upper bodice using the upper bodice measurement to cut out the front and back with zipper allowance

After cutting out the upper bodice, I cut out lining with same shape for neat finishing and they were all sewn together.

As the upper bodice was ready, I pleated the long piece for the lower part of the dress to the upper bodice for the gown.

From the other piece of Aso oke, I cut out a puff sleeve and it was sent to the armhole circumference giving it a complete outfit.

Looking at it this way is not beautiful to my taste, so I bought 2yards yards of skin net from wich I cut out 18" and I folded in two then it was pleated across the center front of the dress with the remaining one dropped down by the side of the dress.

Finally, this is the beautiful outcome of the dress I made for my little niece for Easter.

Wow what a lovely dress you have turned something that could have been trashed away into such a lovely thing.

That's the beauty of a seamstress and being creative, bringing old fabric into life, I'm glad it came out nice.

How nice to receive and wear something new for her, the truth is that she will be happy for this beautiful gesture, happy day.
