Good evening folks, tonight I am bringing a new silver-ish coin to the stack. This will be much to the displeasure of our much-adored @geneeverett 😅
A 1923 Half Crown - With George V on it.
I treated myself to a little visit to an Antiques Centre that I had found by accident online that was stupidly close to me that I hadn't even heard of. A literal stumble onto it via a Google search for bullion sellers in my area.
Now onto the fun bits:
The reverse of the coin: Uncrowned portrait of King George V
Year: 1923
Value: Half Crown
Currency: Pound Sterling
Silver: .500
Weight: 14.14 grams
Diameter: 32.3mm
Thickness: 2.15mm
On the positive side, this is a much better portrait than the current King of England ☹️
The coin is a 'little' worn but it is still a coin that for what I paid £4.50, it didn't seem too much of a costly buy. I went in with £65 total and came out with this and 2 other 1 oz silver coins which is pretty good.
This has added to my random amounts of bitty silver coins that are currently in the stack.
One day soon I will have to make a complete list of what is currently in the stack, I've lost count of what I currently own 😅 so knowing what I have will be a good start

Was it 1921 the coins used to be 0.925 silver. Still, a decent 0.500 silver George V, as long as you're adding to your stack @youloseagain 👍✔️
I think it was pre 1920s. It's a good addition to my stack for sure. Cost wise it wasn't too bad either really
