Garden Journal : The Sun Starts to Rise Again

It feels very comfortable, when the sun starts to appear more compared to the dark clouds that have occurred in the past few weeks. I have previously told you about the rain that is currently hitting my city. The flood has receded and the river water discharge has also started to return to normal, in fact it has not rained for 2 days and the sun is always there every morning until evening.

Likewise with plants, uniquely they survive in the midst of quite extreme weather between the two weather changes this week. so that some of them can grow well but some are almost burned. Like some lettuce that is still small and 2 weeks old.

What I do is spray a little water so that they can adjust to the current heat of the sun. it looks like the weather in the morning at 10.00am is already very hot, so, while I look at the condition of some vegetables and get closer to them.

The lettuce harvest batch has entered yesterday, some of which have been sold out because they are liked by many people. So as soon as something comes out, then some will come in too. I always adjust the right timing so as not to waste a lot of time. That's why I always write a journal.

Not only lettuce this time, it turns out that the water apple tree next to our chicken coop has also started to flower. The sign is that there will be many fruits appearing next month and so on. Although only one, this tree is alluring with its sweet taste. You know, I often throw away the remaining hydroponic fertilizer water on the soil and also often add soil to several trees and plants that cannot grow hydroponically. So, I always prepare good soil planting media.

Likewise, I have some eggplants and chilies. These small eggplants are very delicious if they are just grilled. However, the color is not smooth because the changing weather makes their growth bad. I am still very grateful for this because there are 3 other trees that I have to let go of because they are badly damaged.

For chilies, there are indeed very few and I only have 1 tree. But you know, it is the hottest chili I have ever eaten. It tastes like jalapeno, called local Indonesian jalapeno. One bite, your whole mouth will burn and it will make your stomach hurt if you can't stand the spiciness.

Besides, everything is growing very well, even for the 3 chickens in the cage. To be honest, it belongs to my nephew who asked to buy 3 small chickens in the market with full color. In the end, the color disappeared as the feathers grew and grew bigger. I don't really like the abusive treatment that farmers do to chickens that are sorted and then sold with the colors painted on their feathers. It's really cruel, but the three chickens can grow well in my garden.

Besides, I have to clean the flannel cloth and netpots from yesterday's harvest. Removing the roots that stick to the flannel cloth takes quite a lot of time. then arrange the netpots neatly to be used again later.
