"Who doesn’t love chocolate? I think everyone enjoys it. But not everyone knows much about the cacao plant. In this post, I’d like to share some information about the cacao plant, which we often enjoy in various forms.

Last week, I visited a village in a smallholder plantation area. There, many farmers grow different types of plants, one of which is the cacao tree.

According to the locals, cacao is the second most important commodity after coffee. I witnessed a farmer drying cacao beans under the sun.

What’s interesting is that this drying process is still very traditional. The farmers don’t use any modern tools at all. Everything is done naturally, from harvesting to drying.

The dried cacao beans are then sold to middlemen to be processed into various chocolate products that we can enjoy.

So that’s a little story about the cacao plant. I’d also like to share a few black-and-white photos as part of a photography challenge in this community. I hope this post helps increase your knowledge about chocolate. Thank you!
