Lod.
Handsome, isn't he?
He's the father of Biggie.
I'm fairly certain that he is also the father of Junior, but since his wife died last year and Junior was old enough to help with child-rearing duties, they just sorta, you know, decided to stick it out forever.
Yeah, it's incest, but when you're an American Crow that isn't such a big deal.
Regardless, though, of all our squeamishness about incest, it doesn't negate the fact that Lod is one of those rugged-good-looks types. He's an older guy, at least ten. He's like one of those hot old dude actors.
Ok, not old. Sorry, Lod.
Middle-aged.
You and your young wife are gonna make some beautiful babies, compromised immune systems or not.
Anyway, he's always been a conservative and shy guy, but he's letting me get closer lately. Close enough to take some nice portraits.
They let me see just how much he looks like Biggie.
And like Junior.

I didnt know they lived till the like of old actor dude age. I mean 10 :O)
Some live longer, per accounts of crow people who have been crow people for much longer than I...
There is a crow in Vancouver BC (I think, I get my social media crow sources confused sometimes) that some claim is at least 20 years old. He's learned to fake a limp to get tourists to feed him.
That is one old crow. I hope there are a few years left in that crafty chappy!
He's probably invincible.
You must really like your crow family. Its fun to watch you chronicle their progress.
What camera and lens do you use to capture these moments?
Thanks! Yes, I do love them very much. They are good friends.
I use a Nikon D7500 and Nikkor 300mm and edit in Lightroom.
