This is my entry for the #monomad challenge
on one of my walks around the Leirfjord, i came to this old abandoned house that was beyond repair. I was very sad to see it in such a state.
it was far from the most beautiful house i had ever seen
but it was so perfectly situated in the terrain by the fjord. this obviously had once been a real pearl in the landscape.
the grassy plot around the house was fenced off for grazing cows
so i couldn't get up close
i tried different approaches but there was no access. it was all private and i wasn't about to disturb the cows
so i had to rely on my zoom and make the best out of it
now i realize i can hardly compete in a photo challenge against professionals and skilled amateurs with a free range of subject matter with my images of a decrepit old house taken from a distance
but i really like this place and want to preserve and share a memory of it and black and white seemed the most appropriate format.
thanks for stopping by
