Cuando era supervisor prácticamente no confiaba en nadie a mi alrededor. No hacían las tareas ni se tomaban en serio lo que les pedía, y por ese motivo prefería hacerlo yo siempre. Pero cuando me ascendieron a Jefe, tuve que delegar debido a que no podía con todo y me di cuenta de que valía la pena hacerlo con las personas correctas. Ellas dos fueron parte fundamental del crecimiento del área. Les enseñé todo lo que sabía y les di confianza para que tomen sus propias decisiones y no me desilusionaron en lo absoluto. A veces hay que aprender a delegar y confiar en el otro. Solo todo no se puede.
When I was a supervisor, I hardly trusted anyone around me. They didn't do the tasks or take what I asked them seriously, and for that reason I preferred to always do it myself. But when I was promoted to Chief, I had to delegate because I couldn't do everything and I realized that it was worth doing it with the right people. These two were a fundamental part of the growth of the area. I taught them everything I knew and gave them the confidence to make their own decisions and they didn't disappoint me at all. Sometimes you have to learn to delegate and trust others. You can't do everything alone.
