I cannot say hello to people?
“Frowned upon” should be punished by downvotes not blacklists. I for one want everybody to speak freely. Even if it is repetitive and annoying. I don't want some self proclaimed and unaccountable “hivewatchers” to decide for me what I am allowed to read.
