Dear Santa:
Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde la última vez que te escribí, espero que hayas estado muy bien.
It has been a long time since I last wrote to you, I hope you have been very well.
Este año sin duda fue una enorme sorpresa para todos y tristemente de forma no grata. Nuestras vidas cambiaron rotundamente por la pandemia, las oportunidades que tanto anhelamos en muchísimos aspectos se esfumaron como si fueran polvo y quedamos en un ambiente de colores grises. Es por eso que tengo una pequeña lista de diez deseos para pedirte en estas fechas navideñas.
This year was certainly a huge surprise for all of us and sadly in an unpleasant way. Our lives were changed dramatically by the pandemic, the opportunities we longed for in so many ways vanished like dust and we were left in an atmosphere of gray colors. That is why I have a short list of ten wishes to ask you this Christmas.
Mi primer deseo es que se termine la pandemia. Miles de personas han perdido a sus seres queridos, otras han tenido que pasar por situaciones complicadas y es por eso que me gustaría que acabara.
My first wish is that the pandemic is over. Thousands of people have lost their loved ones, others have had to go through difficult situations and that is why I would like it to end.
Mi segundo deseo es que en mi país Venezuela se termine la crisis económica. Esa es la principal razón por la cual muchos jóvenes de hoy en día han tenido que dejar a un lado sus sueños y tener como prioridad salir hacia adelante por una vida digna, emigrando hacia otros países en busca de lo que desgraciadamente no se puede obtener en nuestro país.
My second wish is that in my country Venezuela the economic crisis will end. That is the main reason why many young people today have had to put aside their dreams and have as a priority to move forward for a dignified life, migrating to other countries in search of what unfortunately cannot be obtained in our country.
Mi tercer deseo sería obtener un trabajo para mí y también para mi mamá. Con el dinero ganado pagaríamos para poder terminar la construcción de nuestro apartamento y por fin tener un lugar propio.
My third wish would be to get a job for me and also for my mom. With the money I earned we would pay to be able to finish the construction of our apartment and finally have a place of our own.
Mi cuarto deseo es que en mi familia abunde mucho la salud física y mental.
fourth wish is that physical and mental health abound in my family.
Mi quinto deseo es que todos los niños del mundo tengan una bonita navidad, que la pasen junto a sus seres queridos y con infinitos regalos. Sin duda ver feliz a un niño te llena totalmente el alma.
fifth wish is that all the children in the world have a beautiful Christmas, that they spend it with their loved ones and with infinite gifts. Without a doubt, seeing a child happy fills your soul completely.
Mi sexto deseo es que me gustaría obtener lo que me hace falta para tener un kit adecuado de maquillaje y así poder expresar mucho más mi creatividad en la comunidad de hive.
My sixth wish is that I would like to get what I need to have a proper makeup kit so that I can express my creativity much more in the hive community.
Mi séptimo deseo va destinado para una amiga que hace más de un año no la he vuelto a ver. Me gustaría reencontrarme con ella y recuperar el tiempo perdido.
My seventh wish is for a friend who I haven't seen for over a year. I would like to meet her again and make up for lost time.
Mi octavo deseo es poder adoptar muchos gatitos. Amo mucho los animales y sería muy feliz con tenerlos bajo mi cuidado, tengo mucho amor para dar.
My eighth wish is to adopt many kittens. I love animals very much and would be very happy to have them under my care, I have a lot of love to give.
Mi noveno deseo es compatir con mi familia, pasar estas fechas de forma agradable para así crear recuerdos y anécdotas que en un futuro sean motivos de sonrisas.
My ninth wish is to share with my family, to spend these dates in a pleasant way in order to create memories and anecdotes that in the future will be reasons to smile.
Mi décimo y último deseo es la felicidad. Felicidad para mí, para mis seres queridos, y para todas las personas del mundo. A pesar de todas las dificultades de este año, me gustaría que todos tuvieran un pedacito de alegría en estas fechas tan especiales.
My tenth and final wish is happiness. Happiness for me, for my loved ones, and for all the people in the world. Despite all the difficulties of this year, I would like everyone to have a little bit of joy on these special dates.
Mi lista de deseos he llegado a su fin. ¡Te escribiré de nuevo el próximo año! Desde que era niña siempre te agradecí por leerme y esta vez no será la excepción.
My wish list has come to an end, I will write to you again next year! Since I was a child I have always thanked you for reading me and this time will be no exception.
