From there, from adversity,
that's where I came from,
with wounds in my soul,
but firm in my feelings.
The winds whipped me,
the storm raged,
yet, in my guts,
courage was reborn.
They are my foundations, my roots,
in the land of pain,
where I forged my character,
where I dealt with fear.
The shadows are my friends,
they taught me how to dance,
in the insistent rain,
I knew how to rise again.
I became strong in that fight,
in every blow, in every foot,
with the fire of hope,
I learned what it is to be reborn.
To fight my battles,
to raise my voice, to go on,
every day is a test,
a reason to exist.
