Good report. I used to visit zoos and aquariums. About 14 years ago, I even went to Loropark in Tenerife and saw the orca show.
I felt so sorry for the animals during the show that I couldn't calm down for weeks. I myself contributed to the fact that money still flows into the coffers for something like that. Fortunately, this orca show no longer exists.
I haven't been visiting zoos for ages either. Even if it is said that money goes into animal protection, it is not justifiable to lock them up in cramped cages and aquariums.
I am a diver and see these animals in the wild. Without stress and where they live.
And I have got into the habit of looking more closely at the nature around me. There are so many, even in big cities, that are worth taking a closer look at.
But I can well understand that children find this world fascinating and want to see it. They should know what we need to protect.
