Harmattan period is an every year occurrence in Nigeria and this period usually span from December month to early or late January. Harmattan period is also known as a period that comes with a lot of flu and sicknesses. Once the harmattan season comes, there is always present of cough, cold and catarrh because it normally looks like a change of weather. This is the period you will see many people visiting clinic, medical center, hospital an pharmacy to complain over one or two symptoms of cold, dryness, cough and catarrh.
Things to do during the harmattan period.
But then there are precautions that if they are followed one could escape any form of cold, cough and catarrh. First thing first, since harmattan period usually comes with dust and dryness it's advisable to always go about with Nose or face mask to reduce inhalation of this dust. Nose mask usually helps to prevent us from contacting any form of flu and disease through nostrils.
Secondly, one should always prevent his or herr body from cold by putting tick wears like Cardigan which could help to prevent our body from any penetration of cold most especially the chest because when the chest is open, it might lead to sickness called pneumonia which is the cold of the chest which always battles with the well-being of the Lungs.
Lastly, always make sure you always wash your hands at my slight opportunity you get. The hands are the two tools that are usually present to assist in our daily activities. So whenever we are done outside it's better we wash our hand thoroughly before any other thing.

Nice job on the clean up, i never heard of Harmattan before but this time of the year is the same in the UK a lot of cold and sickness bugs around this time.
