On bright sunny day, I rushed to nearby coffee shop near Landmark 81 to drink coffee. But when I reached there, I changed my mind and tried white Pearl milk tea. Since temperature was warm, that is why I was trying something cold in morning.
I ordered white milk pearl tea and waited for the owner of shop to prepare it. In the meantime, I smelled freshly brewed coffee smell. I thought about the history of coffee. As I had already read about coffee history, so my mind took me back to earliest days. For a moment, I thought that I have been taken to earlier history of Arabs. The history of Coffee is as old as the Golden period of Arabs generally and Islam particularly. It is often called "the wine of Islam". Even before its introduction in Islamic world, there is famous story about shepherd who observed that his goats becoming active after consuming coffee berries. And why did it gain such importance in Muslim world because this was the time when Muslim world produced some of the great scholars, philosophers and scientists. They had to take coffee all night to study books. I was lost in these thoughts when I saw white milk tea served Infront of me.
The moment I sipped on my tea; it refreshed my mind set. Yes, it's a sugary tea and people around me know me that I am not fan of sugary tea. However, I liked this one. I believed that time matters alot. If I had taken the same tea in any other time of day, I would not have appreciated the taste so much. I believe that everything must be tried on right time to get refreshing and authentic taste. White pearls also known as tapioca pearl. It is widely available in abundance in Southeast Asian region. As ingredient used in bubble tea, they are commonly called Boba or pearls. I know some people are not aware of Boba or pearls. Yes, people of Indian subcontinent call it sabudana. If anyone has tried Taiwanese tee, they must have known these pearls.
One must try this tea as it tastes amazingly good in morning. One can request to make it less sugary. One can also make this tea at home, it's not very difficult to make it at home. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos in first place when it was served because I underestimated the taste in the beginning. Hope you have enjoyed reading history about coffee and the knowledge of unique tea. I will write more about White pearls milk tea in my future writings.
