I feel you there Ed. Same here, I was expecting 5-10x's but its not been materialising LOL Trading alts isn't as easy as I thought.. I thought everything would go up.
I sold my last ETH and vowed never to use it again, its so awful and expensive. I don't care what Defi you can do there, this tech is worse than ZX Spectrum 48k. Metamask has been deleted from my vocabulary.
Fingers crossed for Hive, it wouldn't take too much to make it pump, but although I have made some Hive, I am still in minus from buying higher than I sold.
