Hello, everyone
I hope you are all doing well! Today, I created this art for the Splinterlands social media challenge. After receiving a positive response to my Chaos Animator fan art last week, I decided to make a new model of Cyclops from Splinterlands. Those who know Cyclops already know what the difference is now. And if you can't do that then I have given the picture of the original card below. Hope you understand now. This character has such an irresistible energy and I had so much fun bringing that into this artwork.
Cyclops is known for his immense strength and intimidating presence, so my goal was to capture both his ferocity and resilience in the art. I wanted the character to look like he was ready to throw the stone, so he holds a huge boulder above his head and demonstrates both his brute strength and unwavering determination. The rugged terrain in the background, the rocky cave reveals the primitive, wild nature of a cyclops.
I started with a rough sketch to establish the basic proportions and pose of the character. I refined the details to amplify the fierce look of the cyclops, focusing on the muscle definition and intense expression of the cyclops. Using Adobe Illustrator, I carefully created each line, making sure the details were sharp and impactful.Next came the color palette. I chose a mix of bold green colors that I took from the original card to highlight Cyclops' natural strength and connection to his rocky environment.
To complete the art I placed Cyclops in front of a mountain backdrop with a hidden cave giving the whole scene some mystery and depth. His expression - firm and fierce - adds to the overall energy, as if he is about to step forward at any moment
I've also included some progress shots in my post to show the journey from sketch to final image. Each step was a challenge in itself, but seeing it come together in the end made it incredibly rewarding.I hope you all enjoy this Cyclops fan art as much as I enjoyed making it! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Your feedback always inspires me to push my creative boundaries. thank you .
