—Mom, remind me what I am going to buy, please.—

—There's Juancito. Son, remember that last time you did my errand wrong, this time I hope it will be different son, please.—

—Yes mommy, that time I was just a little careless, but this time it will be different, you'll see.—

—I need you to go to the market, and buy me some bay leaves to make a stew, ok, the meat stew you like, that will be for the lunch we will have with your uncles.—

Juan was getting excited, a second chance should never be wasted, and knowing that, to a certain extent, the food depended on the purchase, he had to do his best not to forget his mother's request.

—Ok Juan, pay close attention dear. You are going to buy a small bag of bay leaves, and you will also buy other spices to season that stew, which will be finger-licking good, you got it son?—

—Yes mom, that's a piece of cake, I have it memorized since before you said so, I'll be back in a moment.—

Bay leaves, bay leaves, and other spices for me to eat.

Juan Carlos' new technique was this, reciting stanzas with his mother's requests, and this technique seemed easier to him, especially when he remembered what had happened the last time with the sheet of paper.

Besides, Juan was a great singer, he would compose beautiful stanzas, even if they were forgotten when it was time to write them down.

While he was on his way to Don Andres' bodega, Juan was watching the beautiful scenery.

He saw how people went to the square to take a walk and also to take some leaves of a plant that was ideal for coughs and flu.

In the distance he heard a lady say:

—That's enough with those eucalyptus leaves mija, with that we make the remedy for several days—.

Leaves of... Leaves of... Eucalyptus leaves and other spices for me to eat.

He almost forgot the song he had composed to remember the errand his mother had sent him, but luckily, he had the best memory in the world.

On the corner where they used to sell ice cream, a block before Don Andrés' bodega, Juan saw that they now sold vegetables and wanted to take a look.

Soon he saw something that looked like a worm, it was green and long, it even had lumps similar to a worm.

—Sir, what is the name of this thing here?—

—Those are asparagus, son.—

He had never seen such food in his life.

Eucalyptus leaves, eucalyptus leaves, with these asparagus, everything will be ready.

—Hello little Juan, what a pleasure to see you here again, I see that you are quite happy, what are you taking home today?—

—Well Mr. Andres and how could I not be, my mom sent me again to buy some things for the house, and they are very important. She told me to take some leaves of something, and some spaghetti, for a special lunch.—

—Here is the spaghetti, Juan, but what did your mother ask for?—

He did not know how this had happened again, how was it possible that he had forgotten the song, but also the leaves that his mother had asked for.

—Mr. Andres, what is the name of the tree that is in the square at the corner?—

—Eucalyptus leaves?—

Exactly, those are the ones I want, give me a bag and these spaghetti- -Don Andrés was surprised.

Don Andrés was puzzled, he didn't understand how the eucalyptus leaves could be used to make the delicious lunch Juan was talking about.

—Mom, I'm here," Juan shouted excitedly.—

This would be the first time that he would buy just what his mother needed...

Oh, the children are so wonderful and charming, but the distraction was a stimulus that she could not control to achieve the mental mastery that she needed and to carry out and with satisfaction the task that her mother assigned her. I would love to continue this story, I will be anxious waiting for more .. congratulations @ismaelrd04
