Me: What? So, the name of this pool is also Linaw Spring? (As in another Linaw Spring?)
The Local Kid: Yes Maβam, this is Linaw number 2 and we also have Linaw Number 3 up ahead too!
"Whaaat?? Mao bah! (Really?)"
That was my exchange with the local kid, Dominic, my tour guide for this river trek. I already published a blog here on how I stumbled upon the humble yet stunning Linaw Spring of Catmon (now Linaw # 1) haha. As I mentioned before, Linaw Spring is not a typical spring but a river pool that dazzles with beauty where locals of Catmon enjoy their refreshing dip.
Some couple of months ago, I took the adventure of discovering this gem on one of my hikes. Now, here I am (back again) continuing to explore the winding and rocky river of Catmon. Time to heed the whispers of the river from last time - promising thereβs more to this river to explore and discover! And so letβs see what our eyes are yet to find out!
Lezzz go!!! Taraaa!
LINAW SPRING 2
The scorching heat of the sun never had a chance against the lush canopy of leaves to penetrate our skin, as the trail we took heading to Linaw-dos was full of giant trees. The whole path we passed through shows that this part of Catmon has an abundant source of water because the trees and the vegetation around it were so lush and vibrantly green despite our extremely hot weather.
Hiking and hopping from one rock to another beneath the shades of the giant tall trees we finally arrived at Linaw Spring 2. Compared to the first Linaw I discovered, I was more amazed by this Linaw (2) as to how it seemed to be set up in the middle of the wild. The stunning Linaw 2 is a blend of nature and manβs creativity.
Charaaan!π
The Crystal Clear Pool!!!
Linaw 2 Spring stuns with fresh clear water. Aside from the unique arrangement of the rocks in this part of the river, it was even made more stunning because the locals living near the place had the initiative of carefully arranging some rocks, making it a pool so the water would be contained thus making Linaw 2 an oasis of cascading clear water where many could enjoy their plunge in the river.
One can definitely see the riverbed because of its crystal water!
I was almost tempted to jump in the water but I reminded myself that I needed to continue my trek in the. Huhu.
The water is not just clear but also cold and chilly perfect for the extreme hot weather of our country!
The Bamboo Waterfalls!!!
Another feature of this Linaw Spring is the Bamboo poles that came out from somewhere which serves as the passageway of the water falling down to the pool! The whole scene makes the place even more stunning. It was a mix of authenticity and creativity!
I asked the local about βHow much does it cost to swim in Linaw Springβ and I was pleasantly surprised by his answer when he said, βIt's free Maβam, because nature owned itβ. I honestly salute the Manong for his initiative. Even though he put some work into crafting the pool for the enjoyment of everybody, still he didnβt ask anything in return. In most cases in the province, spots like this developed by the locals impose fees for entrance and usage.
I so love this gem of Catmon River that I just discovered. How I wished to stay longer, maybe for a day, grill some fish, and swim in the pool! Catmon River has never failed to reveal its beauty to me. I am excited and thrilled to discover more of it!
Till next time then! See you on my next discovery adventure of this beautiful and underrated river of Catmon!

I think it should be a shame for humanity that natural resources have been turned into wages. The fact that you are even asking this question is a great shame in my eyes.
But when I saw this natural beauty, I was a bit jealous because it was far away from me. I hope you had a good time during your hiking time.
Have a good one!
Unfortunately, many natural sites that are supposed to be freely accessible are imposing entrance and usage charges. Though some are reasonable because of the maintenance like keeping them clean, however some place are disheartening even those in the wild that demand payment to enjoy their beauty.
I had a good time.π
have a beautiful day Ma'am!π
You can see in the picture you shared that when I wanted to go there, I wanted to see how beautiful the green lake water is, which is located in the middle of the jungle, the water looked really green and the view was very impressive. Thank you for sharing with us
