Hello to everyone in the Worldmappin community! Today I'm here to share with you a new touristic tour of the state of Bolivar, Venezuela, so this time it's about one of the most modern shopping malls in the city of Puerto Ordaz, the Orinokia Mall. In previous opportunities I have talked about this building but with a sense more focused on its architecture, history or photography. Today I will show you some of the things you can find inside the place as it offers a great variety for everyone. So let's get started.
Orinokia Mall functions as a shopping centre that divides its spaces according to various names that have to do with some of the minerals that can be found in the state of Bolivar. Regardless of this, in each of these spaces you will find everything from department stores to food shops. If you need to get electrical appliances you have Daka, if you want to furnish your house there is Simmons, for any medicine, varieties for personal hygiene, beauty and so on, there is Farmatodo, for toys there is Super Toys, for movies there is Cines Unidos, for printing and everything related to stationery there is ImprePide, and a few other things, although one of the most essential, the food fair, is the food market.
As i visited the place over the weekend, it was packed; full of people here and there. I think that despite the fact that in general, things in Puerto Ordaz are a bit more expensive than elsewhere in the country (at least from my perspective and experience), many of the locals choose to visit the mall as a means of recreation because of its wide variety of shops. I also do the same from time to time, although I am not a mall lover, but there is the only place where they show movies and so I take the opportunity to walk around the place. There is also an arcade area where you can play video game machines. Those are my two favourite things to do. Plus the food fair, where you could find the old Conga fast food stall. They were very good.
Although I don't want to talk too much about its architecture, I think it is at least relevant to mention that the place is quite spacious, has only one continuous floor (only one underground) and was formerly the longest shopping mall in Venezuela. Which says a lot about its planning. As additional data the mall operates every day of the week and is open from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, as the cinema and the new party area they opened allows for extended opening hours. So in Orinokia you can find everything for all ages, as there are many spaces dedicated to children's recreation. And from time to time there is an event that can bring the whole family together. Finally, without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by. I send you a big hug.
