The Winter Beauty Of The Frozen Yanqihu Lake

in Worldmappinyesterday

The Huairou district, where I live, is one of the best parts of Beijing Municipal. It's about 60 km northeast of the city centre and goes up another 100 km north from the south to the north of the district. It is one of the biggest districts, and there are hundreds of mountains in the northern part of Beijing Municipal. I'm so grateful to live in such a lovely area with so many beautiful nature scenes the mountains in the distance and the clear blue sky all around the district. Also, there aren't many businesses here because this area is mostly seen as a tourist spot by people from Beijing. There are dozens of natural Scenic Spots spread out across the area. In my old blogs, I wrote a lot about trips I took in these beautiful areas. Today, I am going to share my recent visit to one of the most beautiful spots known as the Yanqi Scenic Area, which I have also visited many times at different times of the year.

After coming back to Beijing from a trip to Bangladesh last month, I had another break last Sunday, when I planned to visit this beautiful place to explore the wintery beauty of the area. And luckily it was a great sunny day, and I went for a walk along this nice place full of beauty. I was going to this lake, which is really a stunning one from the high damn by the lakeside. As this year there is no snowing in Beijing, the beauty is quite different than the normal wintery view, but the water is still frozen tightly. I thought there could be some time walking on the lake, but I found no one going that, so I did not try walking as some parts of the lake I saw were not frozen as the temperature had started rising slightly here. But I enjoyed the surrounding beauty, which is stunning.

The deep blue sky and the bluish reflection on the lake make the whole surrounding a blue heaven, though with the snow-covered time, it will be a white paradise, I think. I will definitely visit the area when there will be snowing if it happens in the near future.

My walking on the damn was a great experience. The road was almost empty, with a few people in such a beautiful location that I consider to be the most beautiful in my area. This place is frozen over for the winter. The trees, the lake, the mountains, and everything else are in deep sleep in the winter. The coming spring will break the cycle, and nature will become even more beautiful, with new leaves on the trees, lots of flowers on the plants, and a sweet smell in the air.

It was pretty cold that early in the middle of the afternoon, but it was perfect for walking because the sun was shining so strongly. While I was walking, there was so much beauty around me that I didn't feel tired.

As I am from Bangladesh, I can say that the weather in this area is very cold most of the time of the year, with only a short summer season, though the temperature in summer often crosses 40 degrees at its peak. The monsoons, which bring strong rain to most of the country every other day in August, balance out the hot season. I live in a place with very different weather than in Bangladesh, where winter lasts longer, but I enjoy the winter beauty of different places like this. As time goes on, I'm getting used to with such cold weather.

The breathtaking views surrounding the area will make you feel fresh and soothe your heart with peace. So, I didn't miss the chance to take a lot of pictures when I came here; these are much better than the ones I had taken before. A good DSLR and a telescopic lens were the only things I was missing. Hopefully, my upcoming upgraded camera phone can bring more beautiful pictures in my coming visit to this amazing place.

There are few structures in the surrounding area, but this one is a college for the Judges, and the stunning location is really a dream place for them. The back side of the college is a protected area and only accessible to their staff, and I can feel the super comfortable life in this nature, which will make their training the best one.

People don't come to this area as much in the winter, and I have seen very few people in the lakeside area like they do in the spring, summer, and late summer. Even though the weather was great today, I was surprised that there weren't many tourists. I thought there would be more because the lakefront area is one of the most popular tourist spots in Huairou, right after the Great Wall, which is the most visited spot here.

Also, the mountains lose some of their green color in the winter, making them into dry structures that go against nature. This is especially true for the plants and trees. It looks like the water is darker today, which is making it hard for me to focus. It looks like more plants are dying in the water, and the colour is getting darker. I can see it better sometimes, but not today. Instead of the blue sky, the colour blue is trying to be brighter than summer, which is what I looked into.

I've been to the area around Yanqihu Lake a lot of times, and I still go there a lot when I have time. This place is so beautiful in all four seasons. It is not so easy always to get around in the winter because I usually come here to ride my bike. Also, it is quite inconvenient to come here in the winter when it is so cold for riding. Also, most of the time when I went there in the winter, the weather wasn't good enough to do much exploring of the amazing beauty. The only things that could be seen here were the mountains and the lake, which were mostly hidden by fog.

From what I've seen in the past, there aren't many days that are as beautiful, with clear skies and great air quality. From the dam by the lake, you can see the mountain range in the distance, which makes for a beautiful view. Even though there was a cold wind, it wasn't truly freezing at the end of February. By the end of the month, it would be warmer.

I hope you like my photos of the beautiful Yanqihu Lake in this winter beauty, which is stunning in excellent weather conditions. It was an amazing experience to travel to such an attractive place, discover its natural beauty, enjoy its scenic views, and enjoy my Beijing life!

The panoramic shots of the series of mountains and the frozen lake are really picturesque and beautiful. It must be nice to take a long walk in such area. The best part is not crowded so I am sure you had a wonderful time there.

This picture caught my eye instantly, such kind of dynamic-shaped hotel is rare in other countries. I would say it's a perfect place for the hotel business indeed.
