Who would have thought that today would be my last day at work? Like any other day, I left early for work and after 9 am they notified me that they no longer required my services at the store. Maybe for other people it was a hard blow, but in my case I thought about the situation and the truth is that I feel happy. So after leaving the place I decided to go back to Cachamay Park in Puerto Ordaz - Venezuela, where I had to take a bus that would take about 10 minutes to get to the park. My intention was to get to a part of the park that I had never visited before but that I always saw from the bus when I passed by the avenue.
I took advantage of that time to walk a little and learn more about that part of the park and I realized that there are other accesses to other places that I don't know about at the moment, perhaps to go to a hotel that is very close or perhaps to follow a route through the extensive jungle that connects to other parks like La Llovizna, but I also noticed a walkway that connects to the imposing Cachamay soccer stadium or as they also call it the Tepuy of soccer, which in turn made me remember when my dad said that decades ago when there was no stadium grandstand you could see the entire Cachamay park, it was certainly a spectacular view with soccer.
For the rest, I was able to walk a little more and see another perspective of the park, as well as appreciate some small islands between the waters of the Caroní, which also reminded me of the famous stone in the middle of Ciudad Bolívar, where many tell the legend that in those stones a large snake lives, could it be that a large snake also lives on this small stone island of Cachamay? Who knows, but well, these are things that draw my attention in these natural spaces.
Of course in these places and due to the conditions of the place the heat can be very harsh, and although there is a lot of shade due to the number of trees, the humidity is very strong due to the river and its waterfalls, those waterfalls that have not stopped moving their waters for a long time. For me, this little walk not only served to get to know another part of the park but also to reflect on the future of my situation due to what happened to me this morning, and I came to the conclusion that I should move forward and do what I like the most, now I will have time for my photographic projects and I see with more optimism the future that awaits me and my family.
For those who do not know this park, I can mention that it is located in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state - Venezuela. Its access is completely free and it is open from 5 am to 4 pm from Tuesday to Sunday, while transportation is easily accessible from the city center or even from points such as the airport and terminal, taking about 15 minutes of travel, to be able to appreciate the imposing nature near the city.
