Most of the shrooms I just saute in butter with salt and pepper. Then I keep them in the refrigerator in plastic containers to add to sauce or omelets or whatever. I even use them instead of adding meat to sandwiches of wraps.
But I got very tired of cooking :/ I came on a blogger saying he dries them and puts them in mason jars. So I'm drying some to see what happens.
Yeah I've been drying all the chanterelles I've been finding and putting them into a mason jar for winter. For oysters I usually do asian style stir fries.
Yeah, I do a lot of stir fries, probably just my own style stir fries. The oysters are very versatile.
I just find cooking them ahead is a good way to preserve them, as well as making it more convenient when I'm throwing them in a dish.
