Here is a small review of my experience with the KTM adventure 890, 2020 model ride trough Norwegian mountains.
Pros: Feels like really high quality, handles great, breaks are the best, and different modes depending on your ride. In Norway, the "rain" mode is especially useful as it can start to rain anytime.
Cons: It's really tall, my feet could barely hit the ground and I'm 172. Also, I have not driven too many adventure bikes before, my usual drive is Yamaha Fazer 600 which I find much quicker/powerful in the accelerations.
Sometimes I just really missed the "kick" when driving the KTM Adventure. I wonder if it's better to go with a BMW bike instead if you are the same height as me. I know you can always lover the bike, but for me a BMW just feels more right.
Have you tried this bike? What's your favorite?

I did look at the KTM for a trip I have coming up soon.
I know they were the preferred choice for Mr McGreggor and Mr Boorman on 'The Long Way Round, but, partly swayed by YouTube posts from 'Itchy Boots', who has made a similar trip, I went for the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Keeping my fingers crossed I made the right choice..
