The College Experience
Allen's college career got off to a rocky start as he broke his collarbone early in the 2015 season, red-shirting that year. However, the setback allowed him ample time to study the game and strengthen physically and mentally. By the following season, he emerged as Wyoming's starting quarterback.
In 2016, he lit up the field, prompting analysts to take notice. Despite a rough start to his 2017 season and critics questioning his accuracy—he had only a 56% completion rate during his college career—Allen garnered attention as a legitimate NFL prospect. The 2018 NFL Draft was on the horizon, and Allen was determined to prove he belonged.
