I am sure you might be thinking that I am bluffing, well the truth is I am actually bluffing, and let me state it clear that I do not have that kind of money but wait! I got to attention with the topic?
Everyday, there are videos on YouTube and other social media platform advertising the quickest way to get rich. The funny thing about the entire advert is they are willing to give the first 100 people for free and so on. While this is very popular now on social media, it doesn't mean the gospel of selling get rich quick schemes just appeared with the computer. You must have seen several books on this topic.
C'mon, why do people always fall prey of making quick money scheme, and why do they give their last penny to these scheme even when they might not get to be rich after paying. The human brain is wired to be successful and to take every opportunity it sees. Have you noticed that it takes you a lot of effort to think when you are about to go against a supposedly good to be true opportunity? This is because loves and interpret opportunity and wants to get into it as soon as possible.
One of this type of scheme is the coaching scheme where you are to taught by people who sell their success to you, and you hope that you get rich by their lesson but the only thing is, you do not make the money. Not making the money you expect to make is expected but then it amazes me how people tend to blame themselves for not put doing things the way they were taught instead of blaming the scheme. In cases where it looked like they eventually realize that have been scammed, they still fall prey of the same type scheme coated in a different color.
Another get rich scheme I have seen is the Pump and Dump scheme i the cryptocurrency space. I saw at one point in time a telegram channel named as John McAfee pump and Dump channel with thousands of people and then coins to be pumped are given to the community to buy after which the community are advised to share them on their twitter account. The users in the community wait for the admin to tell them when to sell the coins as well. When I decided to do my findings, I realized that the admins started purchasing the coins before sharing in to the group and they also sell their holdings before they ask their community to start selling. then they post results of profit and ask people to post results on their handles tagging them. Funny enough, people who lose in this scheme believe that they were either too slow to take advantage of the information when buying, or were late to sell.
Sincerely, you do not need a get rich quick scheme, you can just work, invest and create incomes for yourself. While I do not have large money in my account, I have decided to grow my portfolio gradually through adding value to the Leofinance ecosystem and hive blockchain. I am going to be making this one of my investment stream and my portfolio will hopefully grow.
While I will say that I haven't fallen for a scam, either multi level scam, ponzi, get rich quick schemes and so, I still want to know your take on people who advertise getting rich quick schemes, and people who fall victims.
