Lol, who can be the most consistently superficial, lol. I tried to make my threads meaningful, but all my votes were worthless and had nothing to do with curating quality. I'd have never upvoted 85% without the contest
It's a good idea, and yes, it is done in the blogs. There is a veritable cornicopia of possibilities to look at. Engagement, ultimatley, is the goal. More so as the base grows. The 'how' to do it, that is the question I suppose.
We had daily tags which were always fun. Finding the balance to please as many people as possible is not easy. I keep going and coming back when the crap gets too much.
They need to reach out to the community admins and see if they'd be interested. If not, find some good curators from the community to run them. I would
First iteration for the leaderboard, the stress test was good and it worked, the algorithms will be tweaked to avoid gaming the leaderboard and overall I’d say it was a great learning experience for the team.
I understand the need to test, and will gladly speak out in favor of measures put in place to avoid continued gaming of the system, as then all is good. If not controlled, then my statement remains factual.

If handled correctly, that could create some unique engagement. But that would mean people have to put forth effort beyond the "gmfrens" tag!
