Just a day left and March (also the first quarter of the year) will be over. It's just amazing how time goes by yet I'm still feeling like I haven't grown at all! Well, at least it wasn't just me. A 51-year-old cousin visited Mom at the hospital a few days back and he said that in his mind, he hasn't aged a bit. However, each time he sees a new kid in their neighborhood, he realizes that he's growing older fast. He kind of spoke my thoughts because I still think I was in my 30s, LOL!
Anyhow, the month of March has been generally good and I'm just grateful to all the wonderful things that life is allowing us to experience despite several (and successive) deaths in the clan in the previous weeks and Mom's health scare too. She's doing better, thankfully. March certainly made me realize various things yet again - prioritizing health among them.
Meanwhile, things are getting quite exciting here on Hive. I'm so looking forward to the listing of LEO on Maya Protocol. It might be hard to imagine now how that impacts Hive as a whole but perhaps we would see how things will go when trading goes live.
And yep, week 13 is concluding but instead of looking at how it was in the last 7 days, I reckon it would be better to revisit how the last 3 months have been in terms of progress, especially about our goals.
Starting Stakes in January
Here are my numbers at the end of December 2023 which also served as my starting point for the current year. Also included are the amounts that I wish to check off at the end of 2024.

👉Hive Power
About 1,968 HP have been added to my Hive Power since January. That's a growth of 12% for 3 months which is quite nice. These additions were mostly from content and curation rewards which are automatically staked on payout days and also my daily manual staking and HPUD participations.
For the sake of my weekly update, here's how the numbers have changed in the last 7 days:
- Current Week: 18,368 HP
- Previous Week: 18,221 HP
There was an addition of 146 HP which is fantastic and a bit more from the 113 HP in week 12. It feels good to see how the numbers are adding up.
👉Leo Power
There's an increase of 2,936 LEO (11.21%) from the beginning of the year. These were mainly through manual daily staking and those staked during the LPUDs. Some were also from LeoAds (ad revenue share) and leo.bounties (for my HP delegations).
Here's how the numbers grew in the last week:
- Current Week: 29,122 LP
- Previous Week: 28,955 LP
167 LEO added in 7 days (combined for both this and my alt). 36 LEO more than that of week 12th.
👉 HBD Savings
A total of 260 HBD was added into the savings in the 3-month period which accounts to 50.48% growth. It's nice to be able to grow it and compound the interest on a monthly basis. It makes me think that my goal of 1k will be achieved in the next quarter. Fingers crossed :)
Here's the growth in the last week:

- Previous: 759 HBD
There was an increase of 16 HBD which is quite decent considering that I slowed down a bit because I wanted to keep liquid HBD for buying HIVE if the price dips sub 40 cents. Anyway, I will continue to add to it for sure.

Summing Up
Real life has had its challenges but I'm still grateful. There have been blessings and bliss amidst the chaos, if I may say so.🙏
There are also some good things cooking here on-chain. Holders of CUB and POLYCUB being airdropped with LEO, then there's the collaboration between INLEO and Maya chain where LEO will be listed and will enable anyone to trade it with other crypto assets on the Maya Protocol. Can't wait for this and for the new LeoDex to go live as well.
As to my Hive goals, there's been good progress in the numbers, made possible by those who continually support my content, so thank you and salute to you all! Bull season or not, will continue to grow the stakes. I may pause or slow down at some point, but the goal is to build for the long run. Perhaps when I turn 50, these would give me some good returns.🤠

I'm on a similar path, since January I started taking it more seriously and stayed consistent so this first Q was to set the floor for my goals and keep moving forward, Q 2 going to be the real test, can't wait for the next Bear market to see how much my HP and HBD has grown ✌️😅
