New to WAX blockchain?
I've been using the WAX blockchain for years at this point, and I've learned a lot. Since launching the GM:FRENS project and the GM token/NFTs on the WAX blockchainWAX CPU, NET and RAM after you get your wallet set up. If you go to it now, with no knowledge of WAX then you might just get even more confused. So let's jump right in as I need to get outside and touch some grass. I've realized that it can be confusing. @forexbrokr wrote an incredible guide on how to manage your network resources, because just like on Hive you have a limited amount of resources for interacting with the blockchain. The WAX blockchain is incredibly powerful, and is the most used blockchain for NFTs & gaming. One of my favorite features is the ability to get a WAX Cloud Wallet by signing up with one of a few different social accounts, including Google and Reddit. The challenged here is that if you do that, you're going to need 5 WAX to send over to activate your account. Then once your account activation is paid (much like on Hive), you are assigned a randomized wallet address like "whatever.wam". The major advantage here is the ability to access your account from anywhere on any device without having a separate app or program installed on your device.
What if you don't want to spend 5 WAX though? I get it. Even though that's around 40 cents... It can be annoying if you don't want to buy WAX just for getting your wallet set up. Have no fear though, because Nifty is here to help.
How to get a Free WAX wallet with Wombat
The first thing you need to do is download the wallet on whichever device you choose, it's available on Android, iOS, and for Chrome/Brave as an extension. Once you have it downloaded, you're ready to get started. Let's jump into it.
Open Wombat, and click Register
Select a social network and click Login
- Create a password for your account (WRITE IT DOWN!)
- Select WAX blockchain (you can add multiple different wallets/chains later)
- Select Create Account
- Choose a username, this will be your wallet address just like your username is your wallet address on Hive.
- Choose Google Dive or Dropbox to back up your wallet.
- Wait a few seconds for your wallet to be created & backed up to your selected cloud storage option.
Your wallet is ready!
The only disadvantage to using this method to get a wallet is that you can't use Wombat to sign into WAXDAO (which is where you stake NFTs & such for GM:FRENS) on desktop. On the mobile app, however, you can visit the websites or dapps you choose with the built in browser and it works like a charm. I recommend using the Cloud Wallet at some point but this is the quickest free way to get started using WAX. Now you're going to need some network resources, and realistically if you're only going to do a couple transactions, this will cost you a few cents worth of WAX. The easiest way to get WAX is to buy SWAP.WAX on Hive-Engine and withdraw to your new WAX address. Check out the guide linked above!

We've just gotta be smart about supporting each other's content that already ranks on Google and not cannibalise our overall leofinance.io traffic.
But obviously ad revenue buy/burns or payouts need to be implemented into LEO in order to financially incentivise people to do whats best for leofinance.io overall and not just milk a few extra rewards from re-spinning a post that already does well.
