Although I don't like Christmas very much, my family celebrates it and this year I'm going to my wife's family for the first time. Until then, Christmas was something we each spent at our family homes separately.

I get on well with them! It's only at Christmas that we usually go to different cities because our families have traditions of spending time in different places. But it will certainly be nice!

Ah well different cities is okay I am Scottish and my wife is American so when our parents were alive it was not only different cities but different countries and continents lol! Thank you 😁
in our case it's only a 2 hour drive... much easier than crossing an ocean haha
Ah 2 hours is fine enough, a good distance far enough away but also close enough that you can get there quickly if needed. Yeah an ocean is harder to cross lol
