MONEY COMMANDS RESPECT

As a society, we have a lot of preconceived notions about money. In today’s world, more money is better. People with more money have more power and opportunity. For some, this is a philosophy that allows them to live a better life. For others, this is a cycle that will never be broken.

There are many different opinions on this topic. Some people believe that money commands respect, while others feel that money doesn't command respect. I personally believe that money commands respect.

I mean, money is a necessity to survive. For without money, one can't purchase food, pay for shelter, or even buy clothes. If one is struggling with poverty, they are more likely to not be respected as compared to the former.

When you think about the people you respect the most, what is it that they do that you respect? If you think about it, many of the people that you respect the most probably have money. Do not get me wrong, I am not in any way implying that your respect is solely based on how heavy the pocket is.

Take me for instance, I have the extremely rich uncles, the not so so rich uncles, and the slightly struggling uncles. I respect all of them but I have come to realize that my approach to the extremely rich ones is a lot different compared to the others. When my rich folks send me on errands, I am quick to deliver, I laugh when they laugh and I answer when they call. It’s like I am programmed to do so.

In my opinion, If you're in a room full of people and you're talking to someone who has a lot of money, you're probably going to listen to what they have to say.

Money and respect have a funny relationship. Ever since we were kids our parents have been telling us "money doesn't grow on trees" and "money doesn't buy happiness."

In many cases, that's true, but let's be real for a second, no one wants to live paycheck to paycheck. The problem is that when you ask for more money from someone, they're going to automatically think you're greedy or broke, and no one wants a broke person on their team.

Money can buy you everything you need, and sometimes even everything you want. However, it is not the only thing that can command respect. With money, you can force people to do your bidding, but this is not the same respect that you get when you work for your money.

Look at it this way, Have you ever been at your lowest monetary wise and it started to look like the people around you were avoiding you because you were broke? More like the gees you used to roll with were suddenly too busy to spend time with you because you could not afford to pay the bill or your own fare?

What about cases where you tried to ask a girl out and she straight up said to you, “I’m sorry, I do not date broke guys?” And it got you thinking
‘Oh, because I no get money? Or ‘SAPA nice one’?

Now, you tell me, does money really command respect?

In today’s society, the rich get preferential treatment everywhere. Better service in restaurants from waiters and doormen hoping to get tipped. They jump queues in banks because they are too rich to queue up. More often than not, you see them ushered into the bank not minding the people on the queue. Supermarts and family meetings are not left out.

Sadly the society we live in feels the need to compartmentalize people according to how they appear to rank on the economic ladder.

The bottom line is money commands respect, everyone regardless of the status quo deserves to be treated with respect.

What do you think?

Exactly, having your own money will always look good on you. Thank you for stopping by🙂

In all thy gettings, get money.

Very vital.

That kind of treatment is because people are after the money, they feel they have the chance to get some money from the rich person, the disadvantage of being rich is billing left and right and the disgusting entitlement, most times there is no real love for fellow human, only for those that can cough out money, that's doesn't mean we shouldn't make money as much money as we want but we should have majority's motive at the back of our mind. God bless all of us abundantly.
