I always like using the curtains and envelopes and underwear drawers when talking to people about expectations and realities and delusions of privacy 🤣
I always think people should be able to share what they want to share and governments and corporations have to have completely public transactions and the only things that should be kept private/hidden is whatever actual person data they have which is the absolute bare minimum to run their services and anything extra if volunteered.
There is also the potential to have some information hidden from some parts of the system. For example, medical information can be packeted to be seen by me and select healthcare people, but not by the average joe wondering why I am such an ass :)
