Think of how that affects governments. How many government departments only exist to have people file paperwork.

I think it's starting to drop though because of software.

Personnel counts arent dropping.

Very true. It's very hard to reduce the headcount in the government around here and I believe that's the same on other parts of the world.
There are just too many laws that prevent that from happening so there is a large workforce that's paid to sit around and do very little work

Probably not for the government but I think its probably dropping in companies. I think the government will take a while longer.

NFTs don't need to be for artwork. They just need to be for items which cannot be duplicated easily or at all. Government documents qualify for use as NFTs.
It's NFTs for real-world items or services which have nothing to do with collectibles or art which will be harder to use. That's the hang up I have with them.

Yea, I think documents are a great use case for NFTs. Can't wait to see something like that be implemented

I want to see how government documents as NFTs handle expiration dates. Do we still need to visit the offices to get them renewed? We shouldn't, but this is government we're talking about.

I hope we don't have to do that anymore but, as you said, we never know with the government.

It's bad enough we have to deal with these people. The best we can do is minimize as much as possible the time we spend with them as we do what we can to keep them off our backs.
Of course, it's also possible that migrating government documents to NFT format could render those jobs obsolete. Then it's just spending time and bandwidth to renew our "papers".

Well...the legal system is naturally complicated and outdated. I wonder if we can get robots to speed up the legal process and reduce the pay for those lawyers.
