Maybe they won't get 100% of that money, in the cases the video has cpyright songs for exemple. YouTube couldn't monetize it without giving at least a part of the earnings for royalties.
But this is another Middlefinger from Youtube to the creators, as the platform is doing since years. I really hope that other platforms which manage ads revenue in a better way take the place of google. Because Youtube isn't producing so much money if you look at what they spend for servers and maintenance. They really should have better moderators to remove innapropriate videos instead of demonetize other well made that are just talking about edgy content.

i get that the server costs are big and i don't mind if they monetize everything, but telling you that your content is not good enough for you to monetize but it is good enough for them to monetize...
