RE: Living The Dream

Nice. Good luck reaching this goal, I think I know what you mean and what you are working on ;) In my case, a mountain cabin or a little beach house would be a tough dilemma as I love both. Tried both and loved both. But the sea has literally fascinated me since I was a little kid plus it has this huge benefit of being able to heal my asthma and allergies with its fresh, moist, salty air so the beach location would be my pick here ;) But again, I love mountains too. In fact, there are places in the world where you can have both...

Italy is one of them and would be the most convenient for me as I know the language, love the food, but the bureaucracy and criminality is scary.

I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. In that case beach is most likely the ideal place for you. Then you can visit mountains for a short period :)

Well, I mean particular places where you can really have both, the sea and the mountains. Tenerife for example. I remember swimming in the ocean there and enjoying the sun while watching the snow covered peak of the Mount Teide in the background. I experienced something similar on Azorean Islands too. I think you can also have it on Hawaii. Or some places / islands in Southeast Asia... There really are these magical places that can satisfy both the sea lovers and the mountain lovers at the very same time :) But yeah, Italy is definitely one of the countries that seem like great locations for life.

Nooooooo, wait a minute as we are talking about different type of mountains here 😃

Wen I say mountains I'm not referring to tropical climate, like the places you listed. Mountains for me need to be with pine forest and snow in the winter.

I see. But if the mountains are high enough, you can have it with this ecosystem (coniferous trees and snow) even in the tropics. But yeah, I know what you mean now. The classic Alpine sceneries like those in posts by @delishtreats ;)

Exactly 😀
