Saving money

  • Three aspects of my life (or things) that I personally spend money on are:

  • Television Subscription

  • Transportation fare

  • Wears

  • Television subscription

In Nigeria, we pay for almost everything and it's too cost for our harsh economy and government couldn't help us, we need to use our head. There is no other television station whereby we can watch football and other programs for free in Nigeria, other than the subscription ones that we have to pay for. Multichoice Company own by the South Americans are the only one in Nigeria that show interesting programs, films and football that I love most and maybe because they are the only company, they increase the monthly subscription fee almost every year and we don't have choice than to make the subscriptions, especially football fans like me that love watching football, Multichoice company have DSTV and GOTV but DSTV is the best, with higher subscription up to fourteen thousand Naira, all stations would be unlock to watch any program but GOTV is limited to that and average Nigerian like me couldn't afford that anymore so I have stopped subscribing and Live stream the match that I want to watch instead.

Today, I live stream Arsenal vs Crystal Palace, where Arsenal beat Crystal Palace with 4 goals to 1 and there's no difference from watching it on television 📺 and Live stream it. It would have been better if it's Pay as you go like other countries do but it's not like that in Nigeria, so in the aspect of subscribing huge amount of money for television, I cut back to save money by Livestream it if I must watch football.

  • Transportation fare

As fuel price hike in Nigeria, Everything keeps getting hike in price, it includes foods, wear, even rents, most especially is the transportation, so I had to stay home if it's a work that I can do at home, I don't have to go to office every time, I can do almost everything at home and if I must be at office, it would be for something that is very important and it is just twice in a week, the fuel price has dropped back but the transport association refuse to reduce the price and as I never have a car of my own, I just have to save money by doing almost all works at home and go to office to complete it to avoid spending on transportion everyday

  • Wears

Due to the harsh economy, things keeps hiking in price and it include wears, the rate which wears got hike is even five times the past and I couldn't even buy cloths like I used to buy and it's even affecting my savings and this could affect me in future. Cooperate dressing is so much appreciated, it doesn't matter your wear maker, all what people want to see is cooperate dressing so I had to cut back to save money by buying used clothes at very wide market. The clothes they sell there are fairly used clothes, they always import them from abroad, overseas, they call the market place "Yaba market" at Lagos, the cloths are always tight and long last, even more than the new ones and once I wash and get it ironed, it won't be obvious that it's fairly used.
