I'm glad to see them trying new things because the MJ approach certainly didn't work. I've been saying for a long time the needed to remove (or drastically reduce) the card rewards from WR (and now sealed). They found a way to do that. You can't expect people to buy packs if they can just play WR or wait until others flood the market and then buy for pennies. Paid-pack leggies are critical to ensuring that they sell better than past packs (which performed abysmally).
What I'm truly tired of (and I truly mean exhausted by) are the surprise announcements that send speculators into the market scrambling to buy up cards to flip. It just feels terrible. They doubled-down by saying that they are going to rotate recipes. Great. So every few weeks, there's another mad rush to flip cards. Count me out. Instead, I hope they can come up with a long-term crafting approach that everyone understands and that doesn't change often (if ever).
I know right. Actually they just made announcement that they will amend some stuff for the weekend but I think it's still fair.
Ya it's time they do this because if we have 100k players that's a lot being printed but then if player base falls then itll just be a ton of extra that nobody need. I know they say they dont reward multi accounts but there are probably some out there farming the packs which are making the cards worth less.
I'm fine with this. It makes it fair for those that spend money and we need people to spend money to keep the game long-term.
As for this crafting flipping market thing well ya. I wanted to be one of those flippers but its really just a race when announcement seen so i agree with u hopefully they remove this. can try to look at hearthstone with the dusting mechanic to craft something new with the dust so we can burn any card we want for that dust and craft exclusive cards. maybe have special dust for certain raritys like legend dust u have to burn legendary cards and this can be used to craft legendary cards
