[ENG] Big greetings to this great community full of talented artists! I think the talent on this platform is amazing, I've seen a lot of amazing content lately. Today I was looking at the Sketchbook community blog and I feel inspired, also excited to share with you the latest drawings that I have been doing. Yesterday afternoon the electrical service failed, when it happens it can get a little boring being at home, but I like to do something nice with my time, so I took my equipment, my pencils, sheets, pencil sharpener, eraser, and lastly my camera to register the moment, and went out to draw.

¡Un gran saludo a esta gran comunidad llena de talentosos artistas! Creo que es increíble el talento en esta plataforma, he visto mucho contenido increíble últimamente. Hoy estaba mirando el blog de la comunidad de Sketchbook y me siento inspirado, también emocionado de compartir con ustedes los últimos dibujos que he estado haciendo. Ayer por la tarde falló el servicio eléctrico, cuando sucede puede volverse un poco aburrido estando en el hogar, pero me gusta hacer algo agradable con mi tiempo, así que tomé mi equipo, mis lápices, hojas, sacapuntas, borrador, y por último mi cámara para registrar, y salí a dibujar.

[ENG] I didn't go very far, I just went down the stairs, which were very dark, and looked for some interesting scene, from an architectural point of view, to draw. The light was perfect, it was clear and cloudless for a long time, considering it has rained all week.
People passing by looked at me curiously, there are not many people drawing in the open air around here.
[ESP] No fui muy lejos, tan solo bajé las escaleras, que estaban bien oscuras, y busqué alguna escena interesante, desde el punto de vista arquitectónico, para dibujar. La luz era perfecta, estuvo despejado y sin nubes por un buen rato, considerando que ha llovido toda la semana.
Las personas que pasaban me veían con curiosidad, no hay mucha gente dibujando al aire abierto por acá.

[ENG] So it was me and the blank page, that is the moment of greatest resistance, just before we start. I had a long time without drawing places, although I have been designing some objects, drawing from observation is a different activity, which requires concentration and patience.
[ESP] Entonces eramos yo y la hoja en blanco, ese es el momento de mayor resistencia, justo antes de empezar. Tenía tiempo sin dibujar lugares, aunque he estado diseñando algunos objetos, el dibujo a partir de la observación es una actividad diferente, que requiere concentración y paciencia.

[ENG] I began by drawing the clearest lines of reference, the elongated columns that are a strong element in this frame. For this I used an HB pencil.
The first lines are key, since the drawing will emerge from those proportions, that is why is important to choose the frame well, frame the scene we want to represent with our eyes.
[ESP] Comencé trazando las lineas más claras de referencia, las columnas alargadas que son un elemento fuerte en este encuadre. Para esto utilicé un lápiz HB.
Las primeras líneas son clave, ya que de esas proporciones irá surgiendo el dibujo, es por eso que hay que elegir bien el encuadre, enmarcar con el ojo la escena que queremos representar.

[ENG] Then I changed my pencil to a 2B, so I filled in some parts, starting to appear the darkest places and the trace of vegetation, at this point I already had a good idea of the vanishing point, which is like an arrow to the right. I noticed that most of the elements are square or triangular.
One of the hardest things was finding the right angle for the ramps, a little more or a little less incline could have messed up the sketch.
[ESP] Luego cambié mi lápiz a uno 2B, así rellené algunas partes, comenzando a aparecer los lugares más oscuros y el rastro de la vegetación, en este punto ya me hice una buena idea del punto de fuga, que es como una flecha hacia la derecha. Noté que la mayoría de los elementos son cuadrados o triangulares.
Una de las cosas más difíciles fue encontrar el ángulo correcto de las rampas, un poco más o un poco menos de inclinación, podría haber arruinado el boceto.

[ENG] It took me about an hour and a half to finish the drawing, I feel happy with the result, I believe that I have not lost my faculties, but I would like to practice more to improve the line and a couple of other details.
[ESP] Me tomó, aproximadamente, una hora y media terminar el dibujo, me siento contento con el resultado, siento que no he perdido las facultades, pero me gustaría practicar más para mejorar el trazo y otro par de detalles.

[ENG] When I went back up to the apartment I finished adding a couple of details such as the textures of the vegetation. At night, when the electric power was restored, I scanned the drawing to be able to save it in a better quality format and also to be able to share it with all of you.
Painting is closely related to architecture, it uses the same resources to represent imaginary or existing spaces. Drawing is a tool to understand spaces and relationships between volumes more clearly.
[ESP] Cuando volví a subir al apartamento terminé de agregar un par de detalles como las texturas de la vegetación. En la noche, cuando llegó la luz, escaneé el dibujo para poder guardarlo en un formato de mejor calidad y, también, para poder compartirlo con todos ustedes.
La pintura esta muy relacionada a la arquitectura, en cuanto a que utiliza los mismos recursos para representar espacios imaginarios o existentes. El dibujo es una herramienta para comprender los espacios y las relaciones entre los volúmenes con mayor claridad.
