RE: Automation, the Future of Shipping

in Project HOPE5 years ago

Dear @mojubare

Interesting choice of topic buddy. Especially right now - since entite world supply chain is breaking into pieces.

I myself co-own small business, which may be heavily affected. Online shop with laptop accessories - all made in bloody china :/

Let’s agree that the citizens decides to go back to work, how many foreign persons will risk their lives on a cargo to get goods from china when there is a possibility that they might contact the virus

Ehm. In europe most people seem to ignore this threat and worry more about economic downturn. So once people will start losing jobs - there will be many of those who be willing to do that work.

Fully automated shipping and logistics could solve many problems. Except that there will be even more job losses and job cuts :/

Upvoted already. Have a great monday,
Yours, Piotr

It is impressive knowing that China is holding a lot of countries to ransom due to this pandemic, that has shown that they are truly an economic power.

On the basis of risking life to get goods, people will have to survive and some people will have to make the sacrifice.

I am still taking a very good look at the technological evolution and where it will put humans in terms of employment.

Thanks a lot for reading.
