I just finished a 4.42km running that lasted about 0hh:28mm:1ss !

I usually try and do a speed work session mid week after our weekend actives. Sometimes I recover fast enough to do it on a Tuesday, some times Wednesday, this week it was Thursday. For as long as I can remember I have always focused on Pace for the run throughs but the more I think and feel into the speed work the more I have been just focusing on feeling comfortable with a faster cadence.

How do you measure your recovery?
I go purely by feel. If I still have achy, heavy legs I just take it easier and focus on form and cadence. I have sean some use there garmin watches and other metrics which calculates some rough guide line for recovery but I don't take it that seriously. As I am getting on a bit in years I don't recovery any where near as fast as I used too. Especially with full time physical work.
