Today we are back, for a new edition of this weekly vegan challenge YOUR VEGGIE SHOPPING, an activity that we have created, to learn more about the shopping experience that all of you, dear users, have when supplying food your pantry, either in the markets, in the different commercial establishments or directly in the field, with the producers.
In the previous edition, dedicated to the purchase of RICE, we had a total of 6 entries, both very interesting and wonderful. Here we present them:
THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE WEEK 14
We have decided that on this occasion, each participant receives prizes of: 50 @ecency points, 50 foodie tokens and additionally, each entry receive 1 additional hive as a gift.

The @dlizara shopping experience is generally familiar, as this is how they optimize the search for better prices and better quality in their groceries. And on this occasion, she went shopping with her sisters and her brother-in-law, for which she went to the Deliplaza supermarket, where she bought two kilos of rice, a brand of her choice, one natural and one golden. In this purchase he invested a little more than $2. She also offered us interesting tips for buying this food.
In recent weeks @mayraro05 has found that there is a pharmacy (Farmaexpress), which also sells food, and there he gets good prices and a wide range of products. On this occasion, he chose two kilos of white rice, the purchase of which was less than $2 in total. She also gave us very practical tips for buying and storing this food.
In a hilarious post @edwind357 tells us about his failed shopping experience, in a large supermarket (Gama Plus), where he went to buy rice. He took a tour of the shelf that offered this product, where he found a great variety, while he was advising us on how to choose a good rice and even how to cook it. He was reviewing some special types of rice (for rissotto, for sushi, for cauliflower), but at exorbitant prices. However, when it was time to pay for the purchase, he realized that he had left the money at home, so he could not buy anything. However, he came home and prepared a good plate of colored rice accompanied by some delicious falafel.
In this super shopping experience, where we know part of the day to day that she has with her two jobs, @marlyncabrera details how she went to various commercial establishments in search of quality rice at good prices, until she finally rediscovered a supermarket (Royal Automarket), which improved remarkably, and there she was finally able to purchase 2.8 kilos of rice (white, parboiled and for risotto), at an excellent price, taking into account that risotto is very expensive, a purchase in which she invested $7.51. Arriving home, the Keeper of the Cupboard, Miss Cinnamon, her beautiful kitten, inspected and approved the purchase of the rice.
Although @aurodivys already had her pantry stocked with rice, she still wanted to go buy this delicious food in order to participate in the vegan challenge; and for this he attended a supermarket called Carulla, in Bogotá, Colombia; where she was amazed at the wide range of rice dishes that this establishment has. She usually hadn't detailed this aspect, but on this occasion she did, and in fact, she took some photos to give us an idea of the rice offering. It caught his attention that there were packages of rice from one kilo to five kilos, which indicates that it is a widely consumed product in that country. She chose to buy 1 kilo of white rice, free of gluten and sodium, and also fortified with vitamins and minerals, and 300 grams of paella-flavored rice, a purchase in which she invested $2.61
In this complete post, @parauri tells us about her recent move to a new apartment, and she also tells us that she is getting used to and getting to know the area. This vegan challenge helped him venture into a nearby store, where he went to buy rice. She is currently in Colombia and is also surprised by the enormous variety of types, brands, and presentations of this cereal in that country. And although she opted to purchase two 500 gram packages of white rice, she gave us an excellent review of the many brands and types of rice this store offered. In this purchase she invested $1.28

There are certain vegetables that add seasoning and flavor to our recipes, in addition to helping us preserve our food, such is the case of ONIONS. Onions have been part of the human diet since time immemorial, there are even records that indicate that Roman gladiators ate this vegetable, which provides valuable nutrients for human health. The variety does not matter, whether it is white onion, purple onion, green onion, shallots, chives... they all add a delicious flavor to our preparations. So for this new challenge, corresponding to week 15, we want to go shopping with you, but ONLY TO BUY ONIONS. In this post you will not include any other type of food, only ONIONS, and we also want you to give us advice on buying and preserving this food.
CONDITIONS
Only one post per participant will be accepted.
Post must be published in this Plant Power (Vegan) community.
Please be original - no old content and nothing plagiarized! (The post that incurs in plagiarized will be disqualified).
You must appear in at least two (2) photos making your veggie shopping of onions.
The post must have a minimum length of 300 words in English, (it can be a bilingual post too)
You will tell us about ONIONS, as we indicated in the paragraph before this section.
