TOPIC REVIEW: FORGIVENESS OF SINS

Forgiveness of sin is practically dependent on the type of sin one committed is it pardonable or unpardonable from our topic review we came to understand that there's a sin unto death and the sin not unto death and we see that in the book of 1 John 5:16 if a man commits a sin that is not unto death he could be forgiven when he pray or been prayed for meaning when we see our brother doing a something that's not right yet pardonable instead of criticizing him or even mocking him or her we can pray for him to come back to the faith as long as his sins are not unto death

Brother Eli in the teaching emphasized on the importance of forgiving one another's sin especially if they committed it unintentionally we should understand that we are all humans and there's every tendency that we might make one mistake or the other for the rest of our life here earth reason is because we are not perfect so we should learn to forgive each other's mistakes as long as it wasn't planned out consciously

Forgiveness of sin should not be limited to a particular person or time it's a continuous action we see that from the book of Matthew 18:21-22 when peter asked Jesus how many times he can forgive our Lord Jesus Christ answered him that a man's sin should be forgiven him seventy times seven in a day which is practically impossible for someone to offend you up to that amount in a day in essence what our Lord Jesus Christ is saying is that forgiveness is timeless it should be given at every time every moment hour minutes and seconds we should not allow the sunrise met up an offence we have not yet forgiven whether the person acknowledges he offence or not that's is to say even before the person commits the offense we should have already forgiven him or her
But that does not mean we have been licensed to sin repeatedly no it's only telling us how broad the forgiveness of sin from God unto man

From Hebrew 10:26-27 we understand that there's a sin that is not pardonable that is the sin committed willfully after the knowledge of the truth it is a sin unto death this is a sin committed not out of situation or impulsion it is an already calculated act waiting to be executed bible said such sin can not be pardoned the individual will definitely answer to the consequences of the sin if we sin willfully after we have known the knowledge of truth there remains no more sacrifice of sin that's mean no more forgiveness or mercy but to face the judgement

So we should be careful on how we live our life so we won't run out of the mercies of God

GLORY TO GOD
AMEN
